The XL1 has been given the green light from Volkswagen top execs. and will start production in 2013 in Germany.
Powered by a 27HP electric motor and a 48HP two-cylinder turbodiesel with a capacity of just 0.8-liters. The combined horsepower of the two powerplants is 75HP. It will have the 7-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 11.9 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 160 km/h (99 mph).
The XL1 concept has a combined fuel economy of just 0.9 lt/100 km, equal to 261 mpg US and 313 mpg UK while emitting just 24 g/km of CO2.

Porsche's all new 2-door SUV based on the Audi Q5 is scheduled to reach production in spring 2013. While the exterior is yet to be known, both the the headlights and taillights will have a HID & LED design. The interior will have a typical Porsche sports car-like feel with the driving position, large bolstered seats, dashboard and intrument cluster from the new Boxster, and slightly raised center console of the new 911 and Panamera.
The engines will be as followed with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. (No word on a manual option yet)
• 2.0 TFSI, 240bhp/258lb ft
• 3.0 TFSI V6, 292bhp/295lb ft
• 2.0 TDI, 190bhp/258lb ft
• 3.0 TDI V6, 265bhp/369lb ft
There is also talk of a Turbo S being developed with a twin-turbo 3.0 V6 producing 350bhp. Also, a Hybrid with a 211bhp four-cylinder turbo matted to a 47bhp electric-motor for a total of 258bhp.
The Cajun will be built in the new addition of the Leipzig plant.

The latest rumor from Ingolstadt is that Audi is highly considering the R4. If the decision is made to produce the "baby R8" that slots between the TT and R8 it would take three years to reach production.
Power would likely follow from the TT RS using the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo, producing 400bhp with of course quattro four-wheel drive. It could have a mid-mounted engine if it follows the chasis from the 2009 VW Bluesport concept. This makes the most sense since VW could use this for their new sportscar and Porsche's new entry level model. Shared platforms have worked well in the past for VW, Audi, and Porsche with the Q7, Cayenne, and Touareg.
Pricing is said to be around 58,000€

The Audi A4 Allroad is back for 2013. Following the ques from the facelifted A4, this new Allroad is more than a pretty face. It will come with plenty of choices of gasoline and diesel engines, including the updated 2.0 TDI offered in three variants producing 136HP (100kW), 163HP (120kW) and 177HP (130kW). The 136HP version is the most fuel-efficient with an average of 4.2 lt/100 km (56.0 US mpg) with CO2 emissions of 112 grams per km (180.25 g/mile). The transmission will have the option of a standard six-speed manual or a seven-speed S tronic automatic. Expect to see the Allroad next summer as a 2013 model.

Here are the first official pictures of the 2012 facelifted Audi A4.
The subtle changes include a tapered grille, sharper air-intakes, and reshaped LED headlights in the style of the new A5 and A6.
At the rear, the updated taillights mirror the new headlights, and all model variants now come with twin-exhausts as standard.
Every model in the A4 line-up now comes with stop-start, brake energy regeneration and electronic power steering as standard. This helps cut fuel consumption by 10% across the board.

Built on VW Group's new MQB modular platform, the third generation Audi A3 will be 10% lighter and more fuel-efficient than the current model. It will also now be offered in four body styles including the three-door, convertible, five-door Sportback and four-door sedan. They will have Audi's new styling with the six-point front grille and be clearly recognizable as an A3. The sedan and convertible will have wider wheel arches and slightly different shape to the side panels and rear lights.
Audi has said the A3 is practically ready for it's official launch in less than six months. However, they are currently working on the TT successor, the new Q7, the R8 successor and the next A4/A5 family.

German tuning house Edo Competition has released their latest creation called "HellBoy".
Using the Porsche's 4.8-liter V8 they add a new sport exhaust and ECU flash bringing the factory numbers of 400HP and 500Nm to 465HP and 550Nm (406 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) time is now 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 305 km/h (190mph).
The exterior upgrades includes a carbon fiber front apron, lip spoiler, rear diffuser, mirror caps, side skirts and spoiler. All complemented by green pin striping.

In an interview with Automobilwoche, engineering boss Michael Dick said the redesigned Audi R8 will be the lightest vehicle in its segment thanks to an advanced aluminum and carbon fiber platform. The nexat model will weigh approximately 100 kg (220 lbs) less than the current R8.
Besides being lighter, torsional rigidity is expected to increase by 30% to 40,000 Nm (29,498 lb-ft) per degree. This is a remarkable figure which beats the numbers posted by the Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari 458 Italia.

Spotted testing on the Nürburgring for the first time, we now see in very little camouflage with an aggressive front and huge rear wing the RS1.
Although this new RS1 will be sharing the chasis with the quattro all-wheel drive Volkswagen Polo R, the power plant still remains a mystery. It is rumored that the A1 Clubsport quattro Concept that was shown at Wörthersee this year was a precursor to the RS1 with a highly-modified 2.5 liter, five-cylinder TFSI producing 503 PS (370 kW / 496 bhp) and 660 Nm (486.79 lb-ft) of torque.

Volkswagen has confirmed it will be making two world-debuts at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show next month.
Although VW will not say which two models it will unveil, it is believed to be the Beetle Cabriolet and Golf MkVII.

Audi recently released these new pictures of the E-Tron Spyder in California.
The E-Tron has a mid-mounted 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged TDI diesel engine, producing 296bhp and 649Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Front wheels are driven by individual electric motors producing 86bhp and 353Nm of torque. Overall, the AWD is putting out 382bhp and 10002Nm of Torque. This brings the 0-60 time in 4.4 seconds and a top speed electronically governed at 155mph.

Here is the latest rendering based off spy shots and the facelifted A5 along with new new A6. Built on Volkswagen Group’s new MQB chassis. The five-door version will come in 2013 and a sedan will be on the way for the first time too. There is also talk of an EV model arriving in late 2013.

German company Hofele has released it's new kit called the "SR 8". Offering both style and performance, this package includes the following:
Exterior - New front bumper with RS5 mesh inserts, new rear diffuser and quad tailpipes, side skirts, and a trunk spoiler.
Interior - Two-tone leathers with contrasting stitching and other parts covered in Alcantara.
Performance - An electronic lowering module that can be adjusted on the fly up to 70km/h (44mph). An ECU upgrade that pumps the 4.2-liter V8 to 390HP (diesel) too.

This Audi RS5 Cabrio was caught testing near the Nürburgring. Badged as an S5 to hide, although we see in typical RS fashion an aggressive front end. Also, of course at the rear is massive dual exhaust system.
Power will be a 4.2-liter V8 engine with 450 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. 0-100 km/h will take less than five seconds.

This Boxster S was recently caught testing undisguised. With a very familiar resemblance to the Carrera GT especially with the striking side intakes. Spotted recently in a parking garage, this S1 was out in the public testing. Obviously an S1 by stating it on the dials, it is rumored to share the platform with the VW Polo R and quattro all-wheel drive. Likely to come as a 2012 model and possibly share the same engine with the Polo R a 1.6 TFSI producing about 210-220 hp. There is also talk that the RS1 will soon surface with the 2.0 TSI and 300 hp.
