Audi has made the announcement today that they have acquired Ducati motorcycles. In a deal rumored to cost €860 million ($1.13 billion US), the VW Group can now add the exotic 2-wheel brand to the family. While Audi is interested in some technologies developed by Ducati – including their control systems, combustion chamber process and lightweight construction; it was said that adding Ducati is just another trophy in the cabinet and doesn't enhance Audi's business model in any way............but they have increased their cool factor.

Since Porsche started created other models that weren't a 2-door coupe or convertible the image has changed. Not necessarily in a bad way, but they have increased their reachable market across all types. It appears Porsche wants to grow that market even larger by introducing more models.
Here is a timeline of what we currently know -
• Late 2012: The all new Cayman will be revealed later this year.
• Early 2013: The facelifted Panamera will debut with new bumpers and headlights/taillights. (also rumors of a convertible and a long-wheelbase version)
• Late 2013: The 918 Plug-In Hybrid Supercar will officially be unveiled.
• Late 2013: The Maccan (small SUV built off the Audi Q5) will officially debut.
• 2015: The return of the infamous 550 Spyder is being developed, however no exact debut date yet.
• 2016: The facelifted Cayenne appears (rumor of Cayenne Coupe also)
• 2017: The Pajun (Panamera Junior) could see production, which is a four-door coupe designed to slot below the Panamera.
With all of these new and updated models, I can't help but think just maybe Porsche will enter the hatchback market next? The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class model is creating a lot of buzz. I think a Sports-Hatch would be a great model in Porsche's future lineup.

This system features Reflective Sound Cancelation (RSC) which allows for a completely straight through, free flowing design that has no in cabin drone. Sound levels are calm and quiet during normal driving but loud and aggressive under spirited wide open throttle driving. Take note, under full acceleration you can literally hear the exhaust gasses rushing out for the system, completely unrestricted yet there's no drone at all.
