The new Audi S3 is official and goes on sale early 2013 in Germany priced at €38,900 (US$50,500). The new 2.0L TFSI produces 296hp with 280lb-ft of torque. It's available in manual and S-tronic transmission to Quattro AWD. This new S3 is 132 pounds lighter overall and has a 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds (S-tronic) and 5.4 seconds (manual). Upgrades include new brakes, more sporty suspension, and the car is 1-inch lower. Visually, there is are updated bumpers, new style LED headlights, S-Line trime, and quad exhaust tips.

Porsche confirmed that the 918 Spyder has set a lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife of 7 minutes, 14 seconds. That places it in the current top 5 lap times of all time. It started from a standstill and used a set of production Michelin tires. However, the optional “Weissach” package was used which is 77 pounds lighter and removes things like the AC and Audio. With numbers like this one year from it's release, Porsche sure is setting the bar high.

It sounds unlikely for a brochure of any car to appear 1 year before its release, but it's being reported that these images are just that. Claiming the new AWD Super-Hybrid Porsche produces 800hp and has a 0-60mph under 3 seconds.

The images also show a Weissach Package for an even lighter weight and race setup with carbon fiber. For an extra fee of 50,000 € are the exterior paint designs of Martini & Salzburg Racing. No word if there is any truth to these details, but they are still worth enjoying.

Volkswagen has announced that a Canyon Edition Amarok will reach production early next year 2013. Once as a concept, this version features special Copper Orange paint with black accents, tinted taillights, running boards, roof bar with lights, and "Canyon" badges. The interior has colored accents and stitching with two tone leather. Power comes from two optional TDI engines. with permanent or selected AWD 4MOTION.

A new report has been circulating that the all new Porsche 911 Turbo will have all-wheel steering along with AWD. This new rumor is in addition to the Tri-Turbo 3.8L flat Six. If true, the new 911 Turbo will have a horsepower range of 550 and 0-60mph times close to 3 seconds. Porsche recently showed a pre-production 918 at a Nürburgring Event. In race form, it seems they are only building the anticipation for release next year in September 2013.

This kit from Gemballa offers a unique look with new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and rear diffuser with triple tail pipes on each side. Taking heavy styling influences from the Mk6 GTI, we see a new rendering of what the all new Mk7 GTI might be. Expected to be revealed at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September. It is unknown just exactly how the new GTI will appear, but we can expect sharper lines following the new body.

These are the latest images of the ONYX designed aerodynamic kit for the Panamera. The kit includes a new front bumper giving a more pointed nose. It also has a newly modified hood, wheel arches, side skirts, rear bumper, diffuser with tail pipes, and rear spoiler.

Volkswagen will now be offering the R-Line package for the Beetle. The kit is only visually with no performance upgrades. It includes a new front bumper, rear diffuser, and body matched door sill/ side skirts. The interior has grey stitching and accents with R logos on the headrests. The exterior only kit is priced at $1,665 and with the interior it's bumped to $2,160.

Rumor has it that a lighter more nimble version of the Mk7 GTI will be available to commemorate the 40th anniversary in 2014.

It will be a limited production and is currently known as the 'Carbon Edition' GTI. Using carbon fiber inside two thin pieces of aluminium allows it to be welded in place. Shaving off a total of 440 pounds it will be used mainly on the roof, hood, and rear floor. The weight reduction model will also be used for both hybrid and electric Golf's. We expect to see the new GTI unveiled later this month.

It has recently come to light that inside executives at Volkswagen are considering to bring the Microbus back and into production. Just like they did with the Beetle, the new revamp Microbus design fits in well with the family.

Since VW is pushing hard to take the top spot for sales, they need to open to other markets. The Bulli Concept which showcased early last year does just that offering an alternative option to small CUV buyers of Kia and Scion/Toyota.

If it gets the green light, we could see it launched as a 2014 model. Also, Volkswagen is said to be developing a new heritage range which could spawn other "new" models.
