Debuting at the Detroit Auto Show this week is Volkswagen's 7-seat SUV currently called the 'CrissBlue'.
Design specifically for US and Canada, this new SUV offers North American drivers a large SUV comparable to a Ford Explorer. VW says it will slot between the Tiguan and Touareg, however with the expected size and more seating it will be larger than the Touareg. VW also said that for production, the last row seating will be a bench providing the three seats. It is expected to reach production within two years from now, around 2015. No word if the concept styling will carry over on the production models, but powerplants will be offered in hybrid and TDI options.
