The next R8 will undergo a new transformation from the ground up. The original R8's styling held since 2006, which is remarkable but it's due for a new face.
These renderings from Auto Express provide what the new R8 could look like based on bits of information from Audi.
Some of the new features could include a new bold/striking grill, LMS style carbon fiber hood, matrix-beam LED headlights with new DRL's, smaller side door blades, and an LMS style carbon fiber rear double-diffuser. The chassis, suspension, brakes, and wheel hubs are just a few components that will receive a carbon fiber or CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer) treatment cutting weight down to 3,307 lbs.
Power from the V8 and V10 are rumored to bump up to 450bhp and 570bhp.
The interior will have around the same size dimensions, and it's rumored to have a digital gauge cluster, upgraded MMI infotainment system, and Audi's new digital rear view mirror hi-res camera.
The V8 model is thought to be priced around 115,000€ ($150,000 US)
