The new Audi S3 is official and goes on sale early 2013 in Germany priced at €38,900 (US$50,500). The new 2.0L TFSI produces 296hp with 280lb-ft of torque. It's available in manual and S-tronic transmission to Quattro AWD. This new S3 is 132 pounds lighter overall and has a 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds (S-tronic) and 5.4 seconds (manual). Upgrades include new brakes, more sporty suspension, and the car is 1-inch lower. Visually, there is are updated bumpers, new style LED headlights, S-Line trime, and quad exhaust tips.

Porsche confirmed that the 918 Spyder has set a lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife of 7 minutes, 14 seconds. That places it in the current top 5 lap times of all time. It started from a standstill and used a set of production Michelin tires. However, the optional “Weissach” package was used which is 77 pounds lighter and removes things like the AC and Audio. With numbers like this one year from it's release, Porsche sure is setting the bar high.
