New details are starting to emerge around the next (991) GT2. It's being reported that it will use the same 3.8L engine from the Turbo S producing 560hp. Unlike the Turbo S, this GT2 will only be rear wheel drive and focus on lightweight technology. With an updated PDK, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) will take just under 3 seconds. It is expected to debut next March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The more extreme GT2 RS version will continue for the 991 one year later for its reveal in 2015. It's rumored to have anywhere from 620-650hp.
