Porsche has officially revealed the second generation Cayenne GTS, which they say is an SUV that drives like a sports car.

This new GTS uses a 4.2L V8 producing 414hp which is a 20hp bump over the last model. With all-wheel drive and 8-speed Tip-tronic transmission, 0-100 km/h (0-62mph) only takes 5.7 seconds. A modified PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) lowers the ride height and improves ride quality rolling on new 20-inch RS wheels. The exterior has a turbo front bumper, wide wheel arches, side skirts, and rear twin-wing roof spoiler. The interior has alcantara accents throughout, GTS logos, and optional Sport Chrono Package.

It will be available in Germany and the rest of Europe this July priced €90,774. The US will see it in August with a price tag around $82,050.

Since its release in 2008, much of the world has had the accessibility to the hot hatch alternative except for North America. However, that may all change with the second generation starting to be developed. Volkswagen of America CEO Jonathan Browning has recently stated that he would like to bring the next version to the U.S. He was quoted saying "That's a piece of the lineup that I would dearly love to see here." It is believed the next Scirocco will be released as a 2014 model.
