Head of Porsche Matthias Müller said recently that a new small sedan model is very close to reaching production.
He was quoted saying: “I think a seven-model series would be a good line-up because most cars have a seven-year life cycle. If we had seven models we could have a major event each year, as well as the variants.” The long rumored model has been known as 'Pajun' for Panamera Junior, much like Macan is to the Cayenne.
Müller is pushing for this new sedan, suggesting that it's already in the well advanced stage. However, the decision is up to parent company Volkswagen. If the greenlight is given it could go on sale in 2016-2017, and go up against the likes of BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class.
