News about a new and bigger SUV from Audi broke about a year ago when they trademarked the name 'Q8'. Recently, Audi's head of R&D Wolfgang Durheimer revealed that work on the Q8 is still underway but heading towards a more luxurious SUV than previously thought. Think of the new Q8 as the A8. It will showcase all of Audi's top technology and flagship for the Q series.
Styling is planned for a longer and flatter than usual SUV with a coupe-like exterior. It will compete with the likes of the new Range Rover, BMW X6, Bentley, and soon to be Lamborghini's SUV.
It's rumored to hit the market from mid 2016 to 2017.
