We were first introduced to the Volkswagen Taigun Concept last autumn in 2012. It's a CUV (crossover utility vehicle) based on the Up! platform. Offering great cargo space and fuel economy with a turbocharged 1.0L three-cylinder engine producing 110hp.
These images were leaked from a Chinese patent office, and look like a production version Taigun with only slight changes from the concept. The official debut is expected later this year with a possible 2014 launch year.
