Porsche has unveiled the new long-range Panamera Diesel - one of the most efficient models in its class.

The 3.0 liter V6 on the Panamera Diesel features an output of 250 PS (184 kW / 247 bhp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque that is good for a fuel-economy rating of 6.5 liters/100 km (172 g/km CO2) on the large, four-door luxury coupe (43.5 mpg imp.).

That fuel-economy figure gets improved to 6.3 liters/100 km (167 g/km CO2) when buyers opt for the low roll-resistance tires (44.8 mpg imp.).

With an 80 liter tank, range on the Panamera Diesel is around 1,200 km (745 miles).

Deliveries for the model will begin in August with prices starting at €80,183 (VAT included) in Germany.
