The A5 Sportback was unveiled in late 2009, but Audi is already working on a facelifted model.

Seen here in the first batch of spy photos, the updated hatchback will feature styling inspired by the new A6. Up front, the car adopts a new front fascia with a revised grille, redesigned headlights and modified fog lights. Out back, changes are minor but include a new rear bumper and updated LED taillights.

While the 2012 A5/S5 Coupe will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Sportback variants are expected to debut early next year in Geneva.
