The new Volkswagen Passat is undergoing tests with this spy shot showing the Passat in the Variant station wagon version. The sixth generation Passat will debut in 2012 and will adopt the latest Volkswagen house style which debuted on the current Golf model.

While a significant restyling of the Passat is likely to take place, especially up front, it will essentially be the same style of vehicle which has been a popular model for the brand. The two renderings below also show a possible interpretation of the new Volkswagen Passat, which we can expect in both sedan and estate form.
