Order books for the Audi A1 compact hatchback in the UK have officially opened. First deliveries are expected in late 2010 of the smallest Audi currently in the lineup.

Pricing varies from £13,145 OTR to £18,280 OTR. These are offered in SE, Sport and S line options. All three trim levels will have alloy wheels, remote central locking, air conditioning, electric front windows and mirrors and a six-speaker single CD audio system with auxiliary iPod connection linked to a 6.5-inch retractable display. For the sport models, buyers will receive larger diameter wheels, sports suspension, sports seats, Bluetooth mobile phone preparation and a Driver’s Information System. Meanwhile, S line versions have extra features such as an exclusive S line exterior treatment including larger 17-inch alloy wheels, S line sports suspension and leather and cloth combination upholstery. The specification levels will be offered in conjunction with three TDI and TFSI engines.
