After being announced in November, Audi has officially unveiled the RS3 Sportback in Geneva.
Designed to be the last hurrah for the current A3, the high performance model is distinguished by an aggressive front fascia, an anthracite grille, and matt aluminum accents. Elsewhere, there are aerodynamic side skirts, a dual exhaust system, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin is outfitted with Nappa leather sport seats, piano black trim, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a driver information system with a lap timer.
Under the hood, power is provided by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that develops 340 PS (250 kW / 335 hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed S tronic transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
To ensure the car isn't just about straight line performance, engineers equipped the RS3 with quattro all-wheel drive and a sport suspension which lowers the ride height by approximately 25mm. Additionally, there's a high performance braking system with ventilated discs that measure 370mm up front and 310mm in the rear.
The RS3 Sportback will go on sale shortly and German pricing starts at €49,900.
