2016 Audi A4 Superavant being considered.....Minivan?

Audi wants to offer a Minivan option for those who don't want a Minivan? Sound confusing? Let's try and explain.... Audi is considering to bring a new model to the market that would fit between the A4 Avant and Q5 calling it an A4 Superavant. It would have high doors and roof to match, giving it the appearance of a tall Avant.

We all know Minivans are anything but stylish or sporty, but Audi thinks it can break that barrier by offering a Non-Minivan to the Minivan market.

No word if this project has been giving the green light, but if it does the new A4 Superavant will be built on the MQB chassis.

2014 Volkswagen Golf RS coming?

An early rumor floating around is that Volkswagen is preparing a Mk7 Golf RS. This would be the next chapter in the R lineup and replace the current Golf R as a 2014 model.

It is suggested that this all-wheel-drive "Golf RS" will use the same 2.5L five-cylinder turbo from the Audi TT RS producing 340-370 horsepower, and use the 7-speed DSG gearbox.

If there is any truth behind the recent speculation, this would be VW's first "RS" model. It would place them back at the top of the food chain (in their class) and true competitor to the likes of STI, Evo, and Focus RS.

With it already a known fact the 2013 Audi RS3 will use the same 2.5L five-cylinder turbo, and built on the new MQB platform, which the Mk7 Golf uses as-well...........There could be some possibility here and stars aligning.

So far VW has been lagging behind in the high performance department for some time now. Until then, we are keeping all our fingers and toes crossed.

2013 VW Golf GTI Mk7 Latest Intel and Rendering

The 7th generation Golf GTI will be out this fall as a 2013 model, and the new look is still under wraps. It will have a different style, but pick up where the Mk6 left off and share some similarities. We know it will sit 1.2 inches lower than the Mk6, have a more aggressive front, have a longer wheel-base, and weigh around 90 pounds lighter. A new limited slip diff will replace the current electrically controlled system (ESC). Power will still come from the 2.0T TSI now producing 220hp and 250lb-ft torque. 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time will improve from 6.9 to 6.7 seconds.

Renderings are based of recent intel (these heavily Mk6 influences is not likely)

Porsche 918 Plug-In Hybrid Supercar Development Progress

The 918 Spyder is well under way full of development and set to debut in September 2013.

One lucky journalist (Damon Lavrinc) from Wired got the chance of a lifetime to sit in with Porsche at the Nardo Test Track. His report revealed that this new breed of Supercar will come with 770hp (553lb-ft torque) from its V8 and two electric motors. It will reach 0-60mph in 3 seconds, have a top speed of 202mph, and cost $800,000 (U.S.)
It will truely be a modern marvel with more than 50 CPU's onboard, an electrical system that took 9 months to develop, and a body and cockpit built of carbon fiber.

This is one plug-in hybrid we can't wait to see debut!

New Porsche 550 Spyder Latest Intel - 3 years away

Porsche's CEO Matthias Mueller recently said the 550 Spyder is definitely still in the works. Last month Porsche held a focus group to test if people are ready for an entry level roadster (which is ironic, since the Boxster was developed for that very reason). No word on the results but he said it's not a question of if, but "when is the right time? Now? Three years from now?. They are worried about upholding the Porsche image, and for that reason are in no rush for production. Mueller also confirmed that Porsche is working on a four-cylinder engine, which the Boxster could see in the future and/or for the 550 Spyder.
