OETTINGER VW Amarok

Oettinger has come up with an upgrade package for VW’s first pickup truck, the mighty Amarok. The thing about the Amarok is, you look at its body and you think it’s hugely powerful, but it’s only got a 2.0 liter diesel engine! So at first step, Oettinger decided to tweak that and upgrade it to 140 KW (190 hp) and also provide 50Nm more torque.

With the extra power under the bonnet, the Amarok can now go from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 187 km/h (116 mph). Oettinger says the car is more convincing off the road, where the extra torque, which is provided form just 1500 rpm, will result in great pulling power. Offroad accessories and other practical equipments for the car are in the works.

The cost of this performance upgrade is 1,090 Euro incl. installation / warranty
