Audi Q3 spyshots

The Audi Q3 will be a direct competitor to the BMW X1 and Mini Countryman. While Countryman sales have just begun, the X1 is already selling very well and that is where the Audi Q3 comes into the picture.

It is simply grabbing a market share and not allow the car BMW to dominate. It will achieve this by offering a bit more daring and sporty shapes than big brothers Q5 and Q7. In addition to being much smaller, almost three inches shorter than the Q5, is less practical line transfer combined with sharply sloping rear window of hatchback style.

Audi Q3 is closely related to the Volkswagen Tiguan with the two cars using the same platform. Q3, which may be a range from fuel and diesel options and probably even a hybrid option under the hood, will be built at Seat's Martorell plant outside Barcelona.

We predict the world premiere of Audi's new lo-sedan at the Geneva Salon in spring or at the latest at the Frankfurt Salon in the fall.
