Porsche 918 RSR will not go into production

It was the sensation of the recent Detroit Auto Show, the Porsche 918 RSR. A technical showcase of Porsche to show what can be achieved with today's technology that is available. This show has only a short history that ends in the Porsche museum, and will not be going into production. We can't say we are surprised, since few would call it a road going car.

Porsche 918 RSR just wanted to show what the possibilities were in the field of hybrid technology. The Impression that the racer made was very clear. With a hybrid system, the car has an enormous power of 767 hp available. The V8 mid-engine, a staggering 10,300 RPM. Porsche currently seems to be puzzling over the 918. The Spyder 918 is included in both production but the arrival of a coupe has also been mentioned more than once. In a few weeks, the next major exhibition will start in Geneva and will probably provide more clarity about the plans for the Porsche 918.
