Porsche Panamera Diesel to debut in Geneva

Porsche had confirmed before that they were working on a diesel-powered variant of the Panamera four-door GT, and it’s reportedly to make its public debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.

There’s a gasoline-electric hybrid variant of the Panamera in the works as well. Porsche is working on new fuel-efficient models to meet the increasing demand for luxury cars powered by greener engines. The most important market for Porsche is of course North America, but given the fact that diesels are currently not very popular in that continent, Porsche is yet to make a decision if they should introduce such models to that market.

Not sure about the Panamera Hybrid, but the diesel Panamera will probably get the same 3.0 liter V6 diesel as the Cayenne. In spite of expanding their business in China which includes opening a new Porsche Center and increasing the number of local dealers, It's not going to offer diesel models in the Chinese market becasue of poor fuel quality in that country!
